Description
The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) is the second oldest air force in the world, starting life as a unit of the Australian Army in 1912 as the Australian Flying Corps. The RAAF became an independent service in 1921, but can boast wartime action since the Great War of 1914-18.
Covering itself in glory in major conflicts for nearly a century, the men of the RAAF have flown in the Battle of Britain, the bombing of Germany, Papua New Guinea, Battles of the Pacific, the Berlin Airlift, Malaya, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq. 20mm 3D antique brass lapel badge
